The Davie Community Foundation serves to “provide pathways for caring people to leave a legacy that will shape the future of our community.”
We offer a variety of grant options that we believe will shape the future of Davie County:
Community Grants (Application Deadline February 15, 2018)
Staff Development Grants (Application Deadline March 31, 2018)
Church & Non-profit Grants are made to specific organizations for whom the donor created the fund. The annual distribution amount awarded to the organization is approved by the Board of Directors in January.
Community Fund Grants are made annually through a competitive application process. The Foundation currently concentrates its grant making on proposals from non-profit organizations within Davie County that address Youth or Literacy issues; or those requested as part of the Healthy Davie Initiative. Proposals must benefit the citizens of the county.
In an effort to strengthen community leadership, requests for Capacity Building and strengthening of non-profit organizations that impact these areas will be considered.
Applications are due by 11:59pm on February 15, 2018
Applications will be reviewed by the Grants Committee and presented for final approval at the regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting in April. Applicants will be notified of awards by April 30th.
Questions about the Application should be directed to the Foundation office between 9 am and 5 pm Monday through Thursday at 336-753-6903.
Donor Advised Fund Grants are made at the recommendation of the advisor(s)for the Donor Advised Fund. Applications are not accepted.
Donor Advisors can complete the Donor Grant Recommendation Form online or download the Donor Grant Recommendation Form.
Staff Development Grants are made annually through the Wendy & Mike Brenner Staff Development Fund. The purpose of the fund is to provide grants for the enrichment of teachers – workshops that will increase their knowledge base in a specific area. Grants will not be paid for course work or any expenses associated with furthering a degree.
Applications are due by 5:00pm on March 31st.
