Leave a legacy

Lighting the Way to the Future

The Davie Community Foundation is proud to serve as the trusted home for permanent assets that strengthen Davie County. Through the Legacy Circle, we celebrate generous individuals whose planned gifts will guide and inspire our community for generations to come. This special circle exists to recognize and thank donors during their lifetime for the meaningful gift they intend to leave, ensuring their values and vision continue to make a lasting difference far into the future.

We get to understand and document your giving goals.

You ensure your future gift is set up exactly as you wish.

Your decision may inspire others to leave a legacy of their own.

How to Join the Legacy Circle

Becoming a Legacy Circle member is easy:

Z

Arrange a planned gift to the Davie Community Foundation.

There are many ways to support Davie County through your estate: bequest in a will (most common), name Davie Community Foundation as beneficiary of a 401(k), IRA, or life insurance policy, or establish a charitable trust in favor of the Davie Community Foundation.

Z

Let us know about your decision.

Submit the Legacy Circle Form or stop by the Foundation office to complete one.

All planned gifts – regardless of amount – make you eligible for Legacy Circle membership.

Your Partners in Giving

We’re here to help.

We welcome the opportunity to talk with you about your plans for a future gift. While we never ask the amount you intend to leave, these conversations allow us to understand your goals and ensure your wishes are honored. Together, we can document your intentions so your gift is used exactly as you envision. We are committed to helping you create a legacy that reflects your values and benefits Davie County for generations to come.

You may choose to:

  • Designate your gift to a specific cause or fund.
  • Create a new named fund (if size minimum is met)
  • Add to an existing fund
  • Place your gift in the Community Impact Fund (if undesignated)

Recognition and Gratitude

Legacy Circle Members

Legacy Circle members enjoy the satisfaction of knowing their future gift will continue to strengthen Davie County long after they are gone. We recognize members in our publications as a way to honor their generosity and inspire others to consider making a similar commitment. While public recognition is encouraged, we also respect the wishes of those who prefer to remain anonymous.

However it is acknowledged, each Legacy Circle gift represents a lasting investment in the future of our community.
