Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association of Davie County Scholarship
The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association of Davie County (EMGVADC) was established in 1999 as educators and liaisons between the NC State Extension and the citizens of Davie County. Working under the supervision of the Davie County Extension Agent for Horticulture, the mission of the EMCVADC is to provide information which is unbiased, research-based, and environmentally sound. Education by the EMCVADC includes garden and landscape issues, water quality and conservation, green waste reduction, wildlife management, and overall environmental stewardship.
The purpose of this scholarship program is to support further education of high school graduates whose interests and passions reflect the values of the EMGVADC.
The EMGVADC Scholarship is available to a high school senior pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Botany, Environmental Science, Forestry, Habitat Management, Horticulture, Land Management, Landscape Design, and or Turf Management.
