Davie County Hospital Foundation Scholarship
The Davie County Hospital Foundation was formed in 1982 to attract doctors to Davie and improve access to healthcare for all residents. The Hospital Foundation is responsible for bringing doctors to our community by raising money to purchase office spaces to be made available for use by physician practices.
The Davie County Hospital Foundation Scholarship was one of three funds receiving a portion of the Davie County Hospital Foundation assets following its dissolution.
Dollars were added to the Davie County Hospital Foundation Fund, which will award grants annually for projects that improve Healthcare in Davie County.
A Davie Medical Center Endowment was also created to support Davie’s hospital. All three of the funds are endowed and will distribute earnings annually for the purposes stated for each fund.
The Davie County Hospital Foundation Scholarship is available to applicants of any age pursuing a career in healthcare. High school students must have completed AP Biology and plan to pursue coursework in a Medical or Allied Health field. College students must currently be enrolled in a Medical or Allied Health curriculum and must have evidence of course work in a Medical or Allied Health area of study.
