Davie County Schools

Davie County Schools was awarded a grant of $6,000 for STEAM Boot Camp. STEAM Boot Camp is designed to support rising 9^th graders with their transition to the Davie County Freshman Academy. These students will participate in a four-day camp to introduce them to the four STEAM-related distinction pathways: Global Leadership, STEM, Career and Technical Education and Arts. The STEAM Boot Camp is part of a larger plan to incorporate STEAM principles from kindergarten to 12^th grade. Students will work to solve real-world problems using the engineering design process and develop skills to enhance engagement, learning and achievement.
