Graduate and Healthcare Scholarships
The Davie County Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship in memory of Priscilla Clark, Katelynn Randall and Melissa Spry is available to students accepted into a Nursing Program at a 2 or 4-year accredited college/university in NC on a full-time basis.
The Davie County Hospital Foundation Scholarship is available to applicants of any age pursuing a career in healthcare. High school students must have completed AP Biology and plan to pursue coursework in a Medical or Allied Health field. College students must currently be enrolled in a Medical or Allied Health curriculum and must have evidence of course work in a Medical or Allied Health area of study.
The Roger & Lisa Davis & Family Scholarship is available to a college student who has completed at least one year of college with a major in Biological Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Nursing or similar pre-health professions. Consideration will be given for academic achievement (minimum 3.2 GPA), community service and work experience.
The Samuel S. “Penny” Foster Nursing Scholarship is available to Davie/Rowan County residents who have been accepted into an Associate Degree Nursing Program and have completed two (2) semesters.
The Bill Foster Scholarship is available to Davie High School graduates that pursue studies in Pharmacy at a college/university in NC.
The Owen Luffman Scholarship is available to graduate students pursuing a Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a field of study that prepares them to work with special needs children.
The Vernon Thompson Continuing Education Scholarship is available to educators who are pursuing post-graduate degrees in the field of Education. Candidates must live or teach in Davie County.
