Cornatzer Elementary School | Bold School book study for 35 certified staff members to strengthen their ability to successfully teach students in both the traditional classroom setting as well as through the use of technology and applications to best meet the changing needs of education. | $975 |
Davie County Schools | Leadership Development and Coaching for 6 School Principals in year 1 of 2 by Dr. Larry Coble. Dr. Coble will focus on personal development by assisting the principal with assessing job role expectations, skills, and knowledge needed to meet the expectations, including the principal’s strengths and developmental needs. | $20,270 |
Davie County COVID-19 Response Fund | The Davie Community Foundation and the Mebane Charitable Foundation have each contributed $50,000 to establish the Davie County COVID-19 Response Fund. The fund will support our non-profit organizations and agencies who provide a “safety net” for families in this very difficult economic situation. | $50,000 |
Family Promise of Davie County | The Day Center Program provides enrolled families access to the physical building, Wi-Fi, telephones, showers, laundry, and support personnel, 7 days a week, 365 days a year free of charge. This is important because without these basics, it is extremely difficult to move forward towards sustainable independence. | $10,000 |
IGNITE DAVIE | IGNITE DAVIE - Year 2 of 5 commitment to create an endowment for the College Promise Program. IGNITE DAVIE is a place-based last dollar scholarship; which means students must live in and attend high school in Davie County. Beginning with the Class of 2020, IGNITE DAVIE will pay tuition and fees for residents to attend either campus of Davidson County Community College full-time. A stipend of up to $250 per semester is also included for books. Students can pursue a Certificate, Diploma, or Associate/Transfer Program. | $20,000 |
Just HOPE, Inc. | The Resource Center will provide a safe-haven for homeless, displaced, or at-risk individuals to utilize vital resources, tools, and services to assist them in becoming housed and self-sufficient. | $10,000 |

The Cares Project, Inc. | Car Ownership Program for low income working families. Money for one car loan. 6 vehicle loans projected for Davie County & 24 families will learn budgeting skills | $8.000 |
The Dragonfly House Children's Advocacy Center | The Dragonfly House Capital Campaign - Year 3 of 3 Building Fund: Construction costs of the new facility located at 387 Valley Road in Mocksville. Dragonfly House serves boys and girls, ages birth through 17, who have experienced any form of abuse. It provides a comfortable, safe, neutral facility that accounts for every need a child may have when they are going through the process of disclosing and healing from child abuse. | $16,667 |
