Thanks to Davie Community Foundation Community Funds students at Cooleemee, Cornatzer, Pinebrook, and William R. Davie Elementary Schools took a Pirate’s Voyage, explored the geography of the Seven Continents, learned about North Carolina Plants and Animals, and solved crime scenes all while learning.
The goal of the camps was to avoid the academic regression in reading and math over the summer months, and offer experiences for children to become lifelong learners.
