The Davie Community Foundation’s 2017 Touchdowns for Education Team scored big for education raising $6,650 Friday night! The 2017 Team was made up of 32 first string members and one second string contributor.
As is tradition, half of the dollars raised will be awarded in scholarships for the Class of 2018. The remaining half will be added to the Community Scholarship endowment to generate earnings for future scholarships.
Although Davie lost the football game, the two touchdowns scored by the War Eagles will make new dollars available. Thank you War Eagles, it was a win for future scholarship recipients!
We thank all of the businesses and individuals who joined the team,” said Jane Simpson, Foundation president. “They are making an important investment in the education of Davie students!”
