Would you like to learn more about herbs? Do you desire to learn how to grow and use them in your cooking? Or maybe simply how to use them for better health? Have you grown herbs in the past but had no idea what to do with them?
If you answer YES to any of these questions, you will want to attend Pearl’s upcoming Lunch & Learn, Herbal Accents for Life on Thursday September 22 from 11:30 – 1:00 at Davie County Public Library Auditorium. Laura Mathis, owner of Herbal Accents will start the program at 11:45 and show us helpful hints for growing and using herbs.
Laura says “Herbs make wonderful planting companions in the garden and along our landscaped yards. Many of them are perennial plants or reseed. God has blessed us with these amazing plants and I encourage you to make them a part of your life each day.”
We invite you to experience these incredible plants that provide us with a variety of flavors, bringing our food to life. Each herb is packed with nutritional benefits that enhance our overall health.
As a special treat, we will enjoy an herb packed lunch, featuring scones, fruit, finger sandwiches and tea. Cost of lunch is $12 per person and reservations must be made by Monday, September 19th by calling Davie Community Foundation at 336-753-6903 or email dkoontz@daviefoundation.org
