Jane Simpson Hired as Executive Director

The Davie County Foundation, a community foundation established in 1988 to serve the community of Davie, is pleased to announce the addition of Jane Simpson as executive director. Jane is a graduate of Virginia Tech, who has lived in Davie County for more than 16 years. She has served the community as a volunteer and in a number of positions, most recently as the executive director of the Davie County Arts Council. Jane has experience in marketing and building community non-profit organizations as well as with private fund raising - both capital and annual campaigns.

"We are excited to be in a position to hire a director," stated Ken Dwiggins, Davie County Foundation President. "We think Jane will be the right person to serve as executive director. She is well respected by the community for the work she has done in the past, both as a volunteer and with the arts council. We think she will help build a very successful foundation."

Jane began her position with the Foundation on April 1, 2003. When asked about the change she replied, "I am really excited to be offered a challenge of this magnitude in Davie County. We have a rare opportunity to establish a community source for support of important local projects. I have always enjoyed working for and with this community. It will be exciting for me personally to help ensure a quality future for Davie County!"

The Davie County Foundation office is located at 194 Wilkesboro Street in downtown Mocksville. The Foundation accepts tax-deductible donations throughout the year.
