The Community Foundation of Davie County, Inc. (CFDC)
is a community trust, established in December of
1988 for the purpose of promoting the well being
of the people of the County of Davie and is
operated exclusively for civic, educational,
cultural, religious and charitable
purposes
within the meaning of Section 501(c)3
and Section 170(c)2 of the Internal Revenue
Code. A copy of the

In the early years of the foundation, it assisted in the funding of two important community projects; the development of the Davie Campus of the Davidson County Community College and the Helen C. Gantt Child Development Center.
Today, the Community Foundation manages
almost 60 component funds that support a wide variety of organizations
and agencies that meet needs in Davie County and beyond. The Foundation also manages a formal Scholarship Program administering many community scholarships for high school seniors and college students.
In addition to the awards designated by donors and scholarship selections, the Community Foundation of Davie County awards grant
dollars to meet
Youth or Literacy needs
within the County.
These grant dollars are awarded through a
competitive application process with an annual
deadline of March 1st.
The board and staff of the
Community Foundation of Davie County serve to
provide pathways for caring people to leave a
legacy that will shape the future of our
community. They work diligently to “Connect
People who Care with Causes they Care About”,
ultimately making life better for all residents
of Davie County.
