NEWS ALERT: Adult Learners Are Reaching Their Goals Through “Davie County Reads” Literacy Initiative
DCF promotes a spirit of giving in Davie County and supports the community by:
- Managing endowments that benefit Davie County organizations and people.
- Administering a Competitive Grants Program with a current focus on “Youth and Literacy”.
- Administering a Scholarship Program that supports Davie County residents.
- Sponsoring the SURF Board Youth Grantmakers, engaging high school youth in philanthropy.
- Supporting women’s giving options through Pearls of Empowerment.

The Davie Community Foundation, Inc. (DCF) is a nonprofit corporation, established in December of 1988 for the purpose of promoting the well being of the people of the County of Davie and is operated exclusively for civic, educational, cultural, religious and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)3 and Section 170(c)2 of the Internal Revenue Code. A copy of the latest IRS Form 990 for the Davie Community Foundation may be requested by contacting the Foundation office at (336) 753-6903.
In the early years of the foundation, it assisted in the funding of two important community projects; the development of the Davie Campus of the Davidson County Community College and the Helen C. Gantt Child Development Center.
The board and staff of the Davie Community Foundation serve to provide pathways for caring people to leave a legacy that will shape the future of our community. They work diligently to “Connect People who Care with Causes they Care About”, ultimately making life better for all residents of Davie County.
